The company was found in 1974 in Chungli, and was reorganized in 1981, made Mr. Wen-hsiung Change as its new CEO. A factory (Tayuan factory one)with the land of 2732 pings and the building of 491 pings within the Tayuan Specialized Industrial District was purchased in Tayuan. Production plans included pigment resin Colors in addition to organic pigment. With the fast industrial development and the increased need for pigment in the domestic market, an additional factory(Chungli factory )with the land 3686 pings was purchased at Chungli manufacture mainly pigment preparations. Nan Tsan, now, has been the manufacturer of organic pigments, pigment resin Colors, and pigment preparations.

Since pigments are the main materials for printing inks and printing industry is one of the necessary industries in daily life, a printing ink manufacturing factory(Tayuan factory Two), was established in the Tayuan industrial District. Nan Tsan industrial company became the first one which produced from material to the finished products.

Due to continual investments, the capital has been increased to NT$225 million. Nan Tsan industrial Company was succesfully make its stocks listed in the OTC stock market and superviced by the public organizations, to make sure the continual running of company.

In 1993, Nan Tsan's HongKong subsidiary company, HNT Chemicals industry Co., was set up. In 1995, The current company headquarter was purchased to broaden the scope of business. Nan Tsan prided itself on becoming one of the nation's leading manufacturers of pigments after twenty years of efforts and growth in the field of pigments.
