Hunan Hongda Tea Co., LTD's predecessor is "Gaoqiao Tea Village", which belongs to "Top 72 Tea Village" in Ming&Qing dynasty. Hunan Hongda Tea Co., Ltd already became a leading tea enterprise in Hunan province. The existing tea garden is over 7500 Chinese acres. Factory occupies 12000 square meters. It has 226 sets of processing equipment. There are 116 people working for Hongda. It's annual production capacity is over 15000 tons.

It is mainly engaged in producing black tea, green tea, yellow tea, dark tea, white tea, oolong tea, jasmine tea, special tea, tea bag packaging, instant tea powder, extracts, and other tea-related products

Company's main product series is Gaoqiao brand including Gaoqiao silver peak, It is a famous Chinese tea. Since 1964, Gaoqiao silver peak became nominated tea for central and chairman's office. In 1994, it is listed as tea for state council office. In 2000, Premier Zhu Rongji tripped to Europe selecting Gaoqiao silver peak as gift.
