It is relative to domestic logistics, involving logistics operations across different nations. It is an extension and further expansion of domestic logistics, representing the cross-border circulation of goods with an expanded scope, also known as international large-scale circulation or large-scale logistics.

2. Broad and Narrow Definitions of International Logistics
Broad Definition: The inflow and outflow of various forms of materials between countries.
Narrow Definition: Logistics activities related to a country's import and export trade.

3. General Objective of International Logistics
To serve international trade and multinational operations, ensuring the interconnection of national logistics systems and maximizing the overall efficiency of the international logistics system.
