GEMO Dongfei Auto Parts (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd., founded in October 2021, formerly known as Shanghai Flexible Cable Company (SFCC), was established in January 1957 as a subsidiary of Shanghai Motor Vehicle Auto Parts Co., Ltd. (SMVAP). It is the earliest professional manufacturer of flexible shafts and other applications for seat adjusters in China.
SMVAP has acquired full ownership of the GEMO Group, a century-old German flexible shaft manufacturer, and established a flexible shaft production base in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. The company has now relocated most of GEMO's European flexible shaft production lines, as well as all production lines from the Shanghai Automotive Flexible Shaft Plant, to the Jiaxing facility. By leveraging complementary strengths in technology, equipment, processes, quality, and cost, the company is better positioned to meet customer needs.
Gemo Dongfei will gradually achieve an annual production capacity of 40 million seat flexible shafts.
